Obligatory Biographical Information

• Born 29 December 1971, Coventry Maternity Hospital, Walsgrave, Coventry, West Midlands, England
• Moved to the USA in October 1979 (aged 7 years, 9 months)
• Attended several schools in the US and UK.
• Married to Christopher Davis (the co-owner of this machine & domain!).
• My driver's license says I'm 5'8" (173cm).
• Naturalized US Citizen (as of April 2001). Hold Irish, British, and US passports (and work authorizations).

Currently ....

• I live in Cambridge Massachusetts (i.e. not the "first" one!).
• I work for MIT, specifically the Office of Resource Development. We are in the middle of a Capital Campaign.
• My office is in Building E-19 (both better and worse than my former home in Building 10).
• I'm also back at school, studying Management.

Previously...

• I once (1991-1998) worked for Kapor Enterprises, Inc.
• I once lived in Coventry, West Midlands, England. That was followed by Twinsburg, Ohio, USA.
• I worked for Geauga Lake Park in Aurora, Ohio, for two summers.

Family-ly...

• Let's start at the top. Of my family tree. My recently-deceased Grandmother, Helen Rose nee Radburn. She's one of the places I got my red hair from. (Grandma is the one on the left).
• My parents, Rosaleen and Stephen Rose. They run a business called Rose Training Systems, Inc, which is partly CNC Training, partly webpages.
• My baby sister. Oops, she's not a baby anymore! Emma Jane Rose (she's the one on the right).
• My husband. Christopher K. Davis. That's how we got our domain name (Christopher K Davis, Helen Rose, ckdhr, get it?). We like to travel to exotic warm places, like his Grandparents' front yard (Scottsdale, Arizona).
• My parents-in-laws. You've heard the stories about "in-laws from hell". They're all false as far as I'm concerned. They live in Steilacoom, Washington, USA. My parents-in-laws names are Jon & Judie Davis.

Places I've been recently

My husband and I travel quite a bit. I write Trip Reports about most of the extensive trips that we take. This means anything longer than about 600 miles (although sometimes I do those too). We fly Delta Air Lines, and are Gold Medallion (mid-tier elite), currently qualified through February 2003.

When I'm not travelling, I like to read & write about it, mostly on rec.travel.air and rec.travel.europe. I'm also obsessed about planes, and that shows in the other group I read, sci.aeronautics.airliners, and the group I moderate, misc.transport.air-industry
